Hi...does anyone know if its OK for a brand and Logo such as TSP Balsaplus to show through the translucent Neptune OX rubber...???
That side is the side with least info on with my beautifully crafted TSP Balsaplus 8.5 blade.the other side has all technical data on it...
I did not want to have to paint it over...I thought about using white out or yellow out, but that to me would take away from the beauty of the blade...
Any thoughts,

fosss

Blade: TSP Trinity Carbon
FH: Tibhar MX-S 2.0mm
BH: Viper 0.5mm
Do you mean near the handle where there are no pips, or in the middle on the part covered with pips? Either way I don't think it'll be a problem as long as the red side looks red and the black side looks black.

If you can see the blade text through the rubber, it's deemed illegal.

In some ways very inconsidered and narrow minded of manufacturers...at least keep one side blank...

I have fixed the problem of the logo showing through the OX red rubber...

I had some extremely fine sandpaper (like wet and dry for a final sand when doing an auto repair paint touchup..) and I was able to sand off with the grain the offending LOGO and details without any damage at all to the blade...

There did appear to be some sort of very thin sealer on the blade or the top layer is very hard and fine...but anyway I have put one coat of hair spray on the surface so no fibers will be dislodged if I remove the rubbers...

It is easily the best finished blade I have ever seen and that includes the Wavestone and 4 Butterfly blades that I have...

The edge of the blade is dentable by a fingernail press but there was a nice firm slightly padded edge tape supplied with the blade, so that should help protect it.

Most of the blades I have come across have the logo on the F/H side and nothing on the B/H side. You can tell by the handle. If you can see the logo on the handle when it is in your hand, that is more times than not, its the F/H side. I do believe they do that because you can see through some OX rubbers.

I don't think glue sheets are opaque Zoran, so the logo would still most probably show through...however, there is no worry at all, as I have lightly sanded off the logo and tecnical stuff, and gave it a thin coat of hair spray, and all is well..
