The rubber i played with tonight was everything one could want in an anti rubber. Very slow, amazing control, ball stays low pretty much all the time, great for blocks, very wobbly balls, great for attacks, great for chops and more spin reversal than most LP rubbers(and more spin reversal than seen in the recent neubauer videos).

One slight problem though, the rubber is illegal to play with. I treated a meteor 1.5 MM anti rubber as described here

The result was much much better than i ever expected. With any anti i ever tried i felt very limited, with this rubber i was in total control of the ball. Most opponents found this anti more difficult to play with than my treated LP rubber. Any legal rubber with these characteristics I'd buy instantly. Makes one wonder, if a homemade anti can be this good how come no manufacturer can come up with a rubber much like it? Maybe I should send the rubber to the Dr........

Now Elvis, was this an anti. or an LP? Did you treat a sheet of inverted with the SG treatment (not sure if the Meteor is LP or inverted). And when you say more difficult to play than your treated LP, do you mean treated with SG or something else?

Originally the meteor rubber was an anti rubber already but it was not a traditional anti(ie it has a grippy topsheet). I don't think the topsheet will make much difference when using the superglue method. The sponge however does make a difference i think. I like the yellow meteor sponge a lot so that's why i used this rubber.

Last night i played with the treated LP and the treated inverted rubber. Started with the treated LP and after 30 mins changed to the treated inverted. Liked the inverted so much i kept playing with it for 1,5 hours. After that changed back to the pips. Like i wrote earlier, most opponents had more problems with the treated inverted.

Off to the club now, some new toys to try(see the equipment thread)!
