10 days! well that is better than advertised. I'll try the pritt stick - certainly cheaper than the new glues. Thanks Martin

Put enough of the Pritt stick on the spong and on the blade. More glue on the edges is good. Then stick the rubber on the blade and put some books on the rackets. After 30 minutes the glue should hold the rubber.

You can use a PRITT stick or an UHU stick.

The big advantage of this sticks is that these kind of glues aren't as aggressive as the new water glues. You can easily rub down this glue from the rubber and blade with some (warm) water.

All Boosters are better to apply on a clean spong. Many of us have some problems to rub down the new water glues from the rubbers and the blades. With PRITT or UHU you can clean very fast and the rubbers are ready for a new Booster treatment.

Quote:
The Pritt Stick is solvent-free, PVC-free and washable at 30°C. Therefore it is suitable and safe for children and table tennis players. ;)

When I glued earlier I put Rapid Clean two quite thin layers to my Torpedos. How many layers should I do with SEB? I´m testing SEB now on new rubbers. Is two layers enough and should I put on topsheet also?

Thanks Martinspin,
Don't know if they have the same brand here but I will check. I do use a similar thing on my art projects but never tried it on rubber or to see if it is water soluable.
I did try the Juic Aqua Stick. Worst thing I ever tried. I gave it to a guy I don't like. :D

I glued my rubbers with the normal UHU stick and had no problems. Pritt has a stronger glue named Power Pritt Stick.

The only thing to apply these glues is the easy rubbing down of the glue.

You're right. Speedaxel and Extreme Booster consist of 95% paraffin oil. That's why many young table tennis players in Germany make tests with "lamp oil". The results seems very good and the only thing to consider is the vapour pressure of the lamp oil. It should be less then 0.3 mbar.

LampOil works great.

I just tested it as a topsheettuner in combination with CTE for the sponge on an H3.
Problem is that I need to get used to the control being alot less, also (or because) the slightly "deadish" feel of H3, even when tuned, is now completely gone. It's become just as dynamic as a glued eurorubber.
The rubber also seemd to be slighty tackier, but nothing like you can achieve with olive oil.

Also sponge and topsheet tuned an old PF4 that has become pretty fast now.
Sound is moderate though.

URGENT UPDATE!!!

My son is playing the World Junior Circuit. He played in Venezuela last week and is playing in Ecuador today.
He plays with Tibhar Clean Tunning Extra.
There are Enez-Ittf guys there testing rackets (don´t know for sure as he is not back, and he didn´t have it very clear).
HE WAS REJECTED.
He was told that "Clean tunning is a product that gives negative results in Enez".
!!!!!!!!!
More so, there is an explanation in the Enez site. Here´s the link: http://www.enez.de/enezinfoen.pdf
So, chances are this will happen with other products (Stiga Extreme Booster, Falco´s products, etc.)
IS THE ITTF CRAZY????!!!
I don´t know what to do, as there is no information about this anywhere, neither in the ITTF site, the Tibhar site, or anywhere else.
Just in the tournaments and in the Enez site.
PLEASE HELP!!!

[Edit by Speedplay] I leave the post here as it might interest anyone who intends to use this booster, but for further discussions about the ban of boosters please look into this tread instead: http://forum.oneofakindtrading.com.au/v ... php?t=1573 so well all keep the discussion about it in the same tread. [End edit]

I think generally, since boosters soften the sponge and increase the tension on the topsheet, they do increase the throw.
